...Which begs the question...

No, no, no. I'm insufferably old fashioned on this one.
I reserve that strictly for a failed form of argument.
I'm perfectly happy with "...which invites [or raises, or prompts] the question." Why isn't everyone else, including my beloved Mr. Stewart?

I hope that doesn't adversely impact your day. It makes mine.

Yeah, I know, it's usage, and not grammar. Life is too short.

Thought I'd try to pre-empt that one before it got started. But maybe, on blogs, the trick is to beg postings from your readers, especially when they can virtuously point out your stupid mistakes.

Of course, I know I could go back to dashboard and correct the original posting before anyone sees it, rather than posting this comment.

But what fun would that be?
